On Tuesday evening, 120 students from Tyler ISD middle schools and surrounding school districts signed their commitment to join Early College High School (ECHS) for the 2023-2024 school year.
The signing ceremony was held in the Tyler Junior College Apache rooms. The new students and their parents could also learn about the upcoming Summer Bridge program, discuss student life, meet ECHS staff, register for Tyler Junior College, and obtain school spirit merchandise.
Early College High School is an application-based high school that offers students the opportunity to obtain a personalized associate degree in one of many degree choices with no cost for tuition or books. This partnership with Tyler Junior College can ultimately save families around $30,000 per student.
Applications for ECHS begin on January 1 each year.
