Dear Tyler ISD families,

We hope you are off to a great start with Distance Learning! By now you should have been contacted by your child’s teacher(s) who will be your source of contact throughout the Distance Learning process. If you have not heard from the teacher(s), please reach out to them via phone, text, or email. They will be the ones with specific information regarding your child. For assistance during this process, resources for parents on how to help your child log in to Clever and Google Classroom, as well as other tutorials, are located on the tylerisd.org/distancelearning website.

Please understand that the intent is for students to complete distance learning online. If a student is not able to complete the work online, printed packets are available Monday – Friday at the curbside meal pick up locations between 11 am – 1 pm

Meal Pick Up and Packet Pick Up Locations:

Boulter Middle School, 2926 Garden Valley Road Hubbard Middle School, 1300 Hubbard Drive Moore MST Magnet School, 2101 Devine Street Three Lakes Middle School, 2445 Three Lakes Parkway Caldwell Arts Academy, 331 South College Street Griffin Elementary School, 2650 North Broadway Avenue Austin Elementary School, 1105 W Franklin St. – BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25 Peete Elementary School, 1511 Bellwood Road – BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25

Every pick up location has resource packets for each grade level so you can get the packet your children need at any of the listed campuses. The grade specific packets are the same no matter what campus you pick up packets from. For example, all 6th graders will receive the same material in their packet and it can be picked up from either an elementary or middle school pick up location. High school packets are subject specific and the student will need to request those specific core courses at any of the locations listed above.

Each packet includes one week’s worth of instruction and is available in English and Spanish.  Packets can be turned in this week at any location with the cover sheet filled out. Again, please try your best to complete the coursework online so that more printed packets will be available to those who need them most.

If you have internet access but not a device, please contact your teacher or campus.

Throughout the Distance Learning process, teachers will evaluate completed work and give feedback.

For any questions please contact your teacher(s) and home campus. You can also find Frequently Asked Questions on our website at https://www.tylerisd.org/covid19

We understand this is a new process for everyone – students, parents, teachers, and administrators, alike!  We are all in this together and we appreciate your eagerness and willingness to make this a successful learning environment for our students.
