middle school students stand in a row and play instruments

The Three Lakes Gator Band brought music, merriment, and memories to the senior residents at The Heights of Tyler. The performance was part of the Harmony Bridge small ensemble music program.  Founder and artistic director of the Dallas Brass, Michael Levine, served as MC and engaged with both the students and residents.

Mr. Levine kicked off the show by having all students come forward and introduce themselves, sharing unique talents and entertaining stories about their life experiences so far. Throughout the afternoon, Mr. Levine brought everyone down memory lane with a selection of music chosen for familiarity and connection to older generations; songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes!

The audience happily participated by clapping along to the beat and providing BIG applause when the young musicians took a big bow at the end of the performance. The students also stayed to talk with audience members before heading back to campus.
