dollar bills flying in background. $27,770,092 in scholarships.

Tyler ISD is set to celebrate more than 1,000 graduates at its high schools beginning today, May 18, 2022, through May 21, 2022. The Class of 2022 from Early College High School, RISE Academy, Tyler High School, and Tyler Legacy High School will each hold graduation ceremonies.

The graduating class has received more than $27.7 million in college scholarships. These hardworking students plan to attend a variety of colleges, technical schools, and military branches.

Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford praises the 2022 seniors for their hard work. “I am very proud of our graduating students for earning this incredible amount in scholarships,” Dr. Crawford said. “This total reflects the dedication of these students and the strong support they have received from teachers, administrators, and parents. It also reflects Tyler ISD’s continued commitment to successful student outcomes.”

The scholarship data is self-reported by seniors to their high school counselor up to the last day of school. Additionally, scholarship money continues to be awarded during the summer months. As a result, the amount of offered scholarships will likely exceed the $27,770,092 million reported so far.
