Congratulations to Anna Hortman, sophomore at Early College High School, for being named the District Secondary Student of the Month for March.
Anna is an excellent student and gets her work done in a timely manner. She is always willing to volunteer answers and gets along well with her classmates. She is an active member of her Youth Group at South Spring Baptist Church and her faith is very important to her. She is at every ECHS function as a work horse for Principal Hortman (aka, Anna’s mom), serves as a mentor for a middle school student at Caldwell and serves as a tour guide for incoming students. Her particular specialties are juggling activities and assignments and managing her time well. She also volunteers her time and skills during summer bridge for incoming freshmen. Anna prides herself on being the least “weird” of the Hortman family.
