Early College High School (ECHS) Senior Sa'Naya Hall has been accepted to the Texas Leadership Scholars Program at The University of Texas at Tyler. She is one of just 250 students across Texas admitted to this program beginning in the fall. With over 1,000 applications received, this is a momentous accomplishment.

As a participant in this program, Sa’Naya’s tuition and fees are covered through federal, state, and institutional aid. The Texas Leadership Scholars program will provide a room and board award that equates to the average cost of room and board at UT Tyler, up to her financial need. Sa' Naya can continue for four years if she meets eligibility requirements, including remaining TEXAS Grant eligible and completing all required program elements.

"I couldn't be prouder of Sa'Naya," ECHS Instructor Ms. Lisa Ellis said. "Many students are often overwhelmed with the scholarship process and think they won't receive these special awards. Sa'Naya took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. This generous scholarship will enable her to complete her degree in Nursing without having to worry about expenses."

Sa'Naya is a member of the National Honor Society and TJC's Phi Theta Kappa. She is also in the top five of her class.
