Congratulations to our District Elementary Teacher of Month, Ricardo Esparza, 4th grade math/science dual language teacher at Birdwell Dual Language Immersion School.
Mr. Esparza is an amazing teacher. His expectations are high, and he genuinely believes every student can succeed. He has the highest STAAR Math scores for 4th grade in the district. You can walk into his classroom and see how seriously the students take their learning. They celebrate each other’s efforts with so much enthusiasm you’d think you were at a football game!
He has a fan club of students who check in with him in the morning before school and his former students still seek him out. He serves as 4th grade CILT and he does a phenomenal job speaking up for teachers and working with admin to problem solve. He also adds value to the campus culture by serving on the Leadership Committee.
He has taught parents to understand the value of every instructional minute, bringing their students to school 10 minutes early and not picking them up early.
Mr. Esparza goes above and beyond in every aspect of his profession.
