Living Wax Musuem

From Famous Amos to Sam Walton, if you had stepped foot in Caldwell Auditorium on Friday, October 27th, a flood of historical and famous people would have met you with a nervous smile and a patient excitement. Who were all these significant figures, none other then our Caldwell 3rd graders!

Our annual Living Wax Museum project is an exciting afternoon for our stars to present their efforts on researching someone of significance and mirroring their likeness in an interactive presentation. With poster boards by their side and a small button that says “push me”, students await their audience to press and then…

Jane Goodall comes alive! She tells you about her life and how she worked with chimpanzees for over 60 years studying their interactions and helping preserve their habitat in the wild. Then, you look over and see Mitlon Hershey talking to another guest about his famous chocolate bar and even giving out some samples as if to create a new customer base, just like the original entrepreneur did.

This project gives our Stars a real look into the past and in some cases, a connection to the future through the inspiration they find from their figure and their achievements. We are grateful the 3rd grade team continues this long tradition and definitely thankful to all our Caldwell families for supporting this special project.

If you missed it, be on the look out for a Facebook reel appearing soon!
