Our CTC Practicum of Graphic Design students began their custom character design project, completely organized by the seniors themselves. From content, to stipulations, to rubric and deadline, the seniors worked as a group to discuss and detail all parameters for the project. Here we have several student fleshing out and creating costumes for their characters. The final project consists of a mood board, giving the aesthetic prior to actually designing, shape language, which gives a character a softness, angularity or boxiness, then the actual character and scenery. Their finals will be printed and displayed at CTC.  Many of these students are certified Adobe Professionals in either Adobe Illustrator and/ or Photoshop. Later this year, they will have the opportunity to acquire and Adobe InDesign certification. Plus, 6-7 of these students will begin Graphic Design internships with companies in Tyler.
