salvation army

Our CTC Family and Community Services teacher, Mrs. Smith, has challenged her students in the Practicum class, as well as in her Counseling and Mental Health classes to organize a CTC-wide food drive for the Salvation Army. The plan is for her students to divide up during 2nd, 3rd, and 4th periods at the CTC and visit other classes on Tuesday 11/28. They will be giving a short presentation to all students about the drive, hand out flyers, and (hopefully) garner enthusiasm for the students participation. We would love for the Salvation Army to be blown away by CTC’s generosity and spirit, and help them fill their pantry in order to help those who come through their doors!

Our “theme” for the drive will be The 1 Item Challenge: One CAN Make a Difference. Hopefully, if we can get students to bring AT LEAST one item, we will have good participation.

To add extra motivation, the teacher with the most items donated by the end of the drive will get something special for their students!

Drive will run from 11/28-12/8. Salvation Army will come by to pick up the food collected on 12/11.
